There is a good four step formula that can be launched in the next couple of hours.

1. Determine a niche you would like to be involved in. Try to base it on things that interest you or that you have an expertise in. This way you will enjoy it more and be more likely to stick with it even when you are not making money.

For example if you have a hobby such as sport fishing, this might make a great blog to start. Perhaps you might create a blog, if you are a plumber, that teaches people how to add a bathroom in their basement.

2. Go to Blogger.com and within three easy step set up a blog of your own. Don't worry too much at this point about the look of your blog. You will then be able to make changes and ad to it in the future.

Google owns Blogger.com and they offer some excellent tutorials on how to use their blog platform. They make it very easy and millions of people have set up blogs with them.

3. You can make your first blog post on anything that you want to write about. Do not worry too much about writing a masterpiece and always try to keep each blog article at least 200 to 250 words.

You may consider breaking those up into shorter ones as they are easier to read if you find yourself writing long blog post. Plus this will help you get in the mode of adding fresh content on a consistent basis.

4. You can place a few Google Ads on your site by joining the Google Adsense affiliate program. This is as easy as clicking and pointing to choose the size of your ad. You can even drag it into place and Google teaches you how to do this with Blogger.com.

Then you earn a small commission every time someone clicks on one of these ads. This may not sound like a lot of money but there are people earning six-figure incomes doing nothing more than blogging and having traffic click on the Google ads.
